Automatic Writing: What is it and how it brings clarity and inspiration

Automatic Writing, also referred to as Psychography, is a process where an individual puts a writing instrument to paper and allows a free flow of words or images to be created. This can be practiced while the individual is in an alert state or when in a meditative or trance state.

It is believed by some that the information coming through can represent contact from the Spirit World. I have definitely utilized Automatic Writing during readings and have had the experience of random phrases, words, numbers and images come through onto the paper that have a direct relationship or meaning for my Sitter/Recipient which have been clear indicators that their departed loved one is present and communicating in this way. While this does not occur for me during every reading that I do, I always have the pen and paper at the ready just in case.

Automatic Writing can also come when we least expect it, and in ways that can be uplifting and inspirational. For a few months in the summer of 2023, I experienced moments of intense need to write at random times of the day (not during readings). These moments produced poetry of an inspirational nature, which is something that I have never had the talent or urge to write. It truly felt as though something was writing through me as the urgency was so demanding. The feeling of "You have to do this now!" was overwhelming. Below are a few snippets of the poems that were produced during this time:

We wish for you to know,

As above, so below.

We are always here if you choose to see,

And here we remain, shall ever be.

Seek me out always, I am your guide.

Ever present I am, in your Soul I reside.

What is life but a training ground,

To find our true nature, lost then found.

We shed the body and float as the Light,

To our surprise and Spirit's delight.

Of all the places I could wish to be,

Most favored of all when Spirit walks with me.

When I say that I am not a poet, that is an understatement. I had never in my life written anything of this nature or had any inspiration to do so. The intense need to write in this manner lasted for a few months and then departed as quickly as it came. I truly believe that the Spirit World had something to say during this time, and I was fortunate enough to be able to sense the words and write them all down. I feel that this is a part of my service to the Spirit World in order to spread their messages of love and healing to mankind.
